Awake! And Fill The Cup

Wake up! For morning with her rays of light
brings the song that gives soul’s delight.
And the hunter of the East has caught
all of us in a noose of light.

Dreaming with dawn’s bright hand in the sky
I hear a voice in the tavern cry:
“Awake, my little ones, and fill the cup!
Enjoy life’s drink! It makes you wake up!”

And as the cock resounds all who stand before
the tavern shout: “Open the door!
You know how long we waited to come and enjoy,
and, once arrived, will never go!”

Now the new year and secret wishes
bring to the soul Bright Earth Kisses
and her warm hand touches my brow,
ends all trouble in the Eternal Now.

Come, fill the cup! In the fire of spring
the winter garment of repentance fling:
My bird of time has a high way to fly –
and now the bird is on the wing.

Look – a thousand blossoms awake with the day
and a thousand blossoms kiss the day:
The Bright Earth brings the Golden Rose,
embraces all with endless love.

On the road of hope we go
leadin’ out of the dump of the old and gone
to the Bright Earth glory of the young
where love and oneness is the song.
