‘Talkin’ Chile’s Camila Vallejo’: released by Mira Sound Germany on Audio Single and DVD, is Michel Montecrossa’s New-Topical-Song for the Education Reform Movement in Chile and its rebel leader Camila Vallejo.
Michel Montecrossa says about ‘Talkin’ Chile’s Camila Vallejo’:
“It’s a song and movie for the Education Reform Movement in Chile and its rebel leader Camila Vallejo.”A Chilean journalist from Cuatroletras asked me:
“What was your motivation for writing on this topic (Camila Vallejo)?”
And my answer is:
“I made this song because Camila Vallejo represents the new spirit of youth uprising that wants change and reform all over the world.
The young generations want a future not threatened by poor education, youth unemployment, poverty and wars.
They want a world of creative peace with equal chances, jobs, fair wages and freedom for all.
For such a world they want to live and work.
Student leaders like Camila Vallejo all over the world help the youth to advance on this way.
That’s why I sing this song of solidarity and encouragement.”
TALKIN’ CHILE’S CAMILA VALLEJO
This song is for Chile’s Camila Vallejo. / Student leader she is and can shut down a city. / Free public education she wants and reforms. / “It’s always the youth that makes the first move,” / she says and I say: “Youth must have its way.”
Latin America is charmed by her, the rebel leader. / “There are huge levels of discontentment,” she says. / “We took the first step but we are no longer alone, / the older generations are now joining this fight.” / And I say: “Youth is the key to bringing new life.”
She is a young and beautiful leader, / leading the youth in a grand uprising / to pave the way for coming generations. / “We want a profound change,” she says. / And I say: “Education must be free and best all over the world.”
This song is for Chile’s Camila Vallejo / and student leaders everywhere on earth. / It’s a song for freedom of mind and spirit / and the light of intelligence of every young soul. / The future is young and must have its way, you know.
